If the moisture in your home or office gets out of control it can lead to the presence of mold in the atmosphere, which can be hazardous to your health. When moisture accumulates, wood decays and termites settle in. The combination of these three things can cause thousands of dollars of damage to your home or business.

We implement a variety of methods to keep moisture under control, such as vapor barriers, mold and fungus control, correct insulation and crawl space incapsulation. We install TEMP-VENT Automatic Foundation Vents to improve crawl space ventilation, which is the best way to prevent the formation of moisture.

Moisture Control Facts

Moisture Treatment:

-In our highly humid climate, it creates perfect conditions for moisture related crawl space issues. As the moisture content in the crawlspace increases, the growth of fungus and mold begins to happen. If this goes on for extended periods of time (months or years), there can be major fungus/mold growth found on the beams, joists and girders, and eventually will begin to elevate the moisture content in the wood itself. Over time the moisture content in the wood will weaken the wood and cause structural integrity issues to the home.

-Treatments for moisture related fungus and mold is completed by scrubbing the affected beams, or joists with a moldcare solution to kill the mold and fungus, and prevent it from growing back.

-40% of the air we breathe in our homes comes from the crawlspace, so it is vital that we make sure there isn't any mold or fungus growing on the crawl space beams, joists, or girders.
